SMS Terms & Messaging Policy

1. Program overview

MenuBrat operates a dedicated SMS number through Twilio to receive restaurant menu photos, PDFs, and text. The program is used primarily by restaurant operators in our service area to submit or update their menu listing on menubrat.com. Members of the public may also text in menus they encounter.
2. How to opt in
You opt in by sending a text message to our published Menu Ingest number. You can opt in either by texting a photo of a restaurant menu (the primary path), or by texting any of the keywords MENU, START, or JOIN. Sending us a message constitutes your consent to receive a reply (and follow-up replies) about that submission, as described below. There is no subscription, mailing list, or marketing list: we only reply about menus you have actively sent us.
Your first reply from MenuBrat will explicitly confirm that you are opted in to MenuBrat Menu Ingest and will include message frequency, "Message and data rates may apply," and HELP/STOP instructions.
The MenuBrat Menu Ingest number is not used for promotional or marketing messages.
3. What messages you will receive
After you text in a menu, you may receive replies such as:
- “Thanks — we got your menu for [Restaurant]. Processing now.”
- “Your menu is live at menubrat.com/[city]/[restaurant]. Reply YES to confirm or NO to flag an issue.”
- “We couldn't read this image clearly. Could you resend a sharper photo of the menu?”
- “Quick clarification: is the $18 lasagna lunch-only or all-day?”
Replies are tied to a specific submission. We do not send unsolicited messages, broadcasts, or marketing.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies. You will typically receive 1–5 messages per menu submission. If you do not text in, you will not receive messages from us.
5. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier apply to messages sent to and from MenuBrat. MenuBrat does not charge for participation in the Menu Ingest program. Check with your wireless carrier for details on your plan.
6. HELP and STOP — keyword commands
You can interact with the Menu Ingest number using these standard keywords at any time:
- Text HELP to receive a short message describing the program and a link to this page.
- Text STOP (or any common opt-out keyword such as END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT) to stop receiving any further messages from the Menu Ingest number. You will receive one final confirmation message and then no further messages.

7. Carrier liability
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider and is outside MenuBrat's control.
8. Supported carriers
The program is available on all major U.S. mobile carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and Virgin Mobile, as well as the smaller carriers that interconnect via Twilio. Carrier availability is subject to change without notice.
9. Privacy
Mobile phone numbers and SMS content collected by MenuBrat are used solely to process menu submissions and reply about them. Mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in data) will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. 10. Eligibility
The Menu Ingest program is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. By texting our number, you represent that you are at least 18 and that you are authorized to send any content (including menu images) that you transmit.
11. Changes
We may update these SMS Terms as the service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected in a reply to active SMS senders where appropriate.
