1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MenuBrat (the "Service"), operated by Mo Merheb ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

MenuBrat is a dish-ranking platform that helps people discover great dishes at restaurants in the cities we cover, with more added over time. Reviews on individual dishes are weighted by each user's taste profile.

3. Accounts

You may use the Service without an account to browse public pages. To submit reviews, you create an account via Google Sign-In or email magic link. You're responsible for activity that happens on your account.

4. User content

"User content" includes your reviews, ratings, photos, comments, lists, and any other material you post. By posting User content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, and adapt that content to operate the Service.

You represent that you own or have the right to share each piece of User content you post and that it does not violate any third party's rights.

5. Restaurant menu submissions

Restaurants can text photos of their menu to our published Twilio phone number to be listed on the Service ("Menu Submission"). By texting a Menu Submission, you:

• Consent to receive SMS/MMS messages from MenuBrat in response, including a confirmation message and a follow-up message linking to the resulting listing.
• Confirm you are authorized to share the menu information depicted in the photo on behalf of the restaurant.
• Grant us the same license as in Section 4 for the photo and any text content extracted from it.

SMS message and data rates may apply per your carrier. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for assistance, or email mo.merheb@gmail.com.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post false, defamatory, or harassing content;
• Impersonate a restaurant or another person;
• Submit reviews for dishes you haven't actually eaten;
• Scrape, mirror, or otherwise reproduce substantial portions of the Service without permission;
• Attempt to circumvent any access controls or security features.

We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, design, and aggregated rankings, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Individual menu content, restaurant names, and restaurant logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used here for editorial purposes.

8. Restaurant data accuracy

We do our best to keep dish names, prices, and menu information accurate, but menus change and we cannot guarantee real-time accuracy. Verify pricing and availability with the restaurant directly. Restaurants can correct or remove their information by contacting us.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular dish will live up to its ranking.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will MenuBrat or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged in-product.
